GTM Skid System
Designed by Dave Borden to mount on the GTM belly frame rails these black UHMW nylon rails are milled and center drilled to mount to the frame rails and also help hold on the belly panels. This kit is considered mandatory on any GTM that is driven on the street as it will help protect the bottom of your car and the vulnerable body sills from speed bumps and driveways. I purchased these from Russ's GTM Supercar Shop. http://www.norcal-cobras.com/store/russ_garage/gtm/gtm.html
When you pull the items from the box you can see the quality and workmanship put into them. Russ includes the hardware and instruction with the kit.

Skid System and Undercarriage Panels Install
Although not difficult to install it wasn't very fun. I was on a roller and you can only get the chassis so high on stands. Because I am installing the skid kit a lot of the rivets are not required. The forward most panel still require about eight rivets before the skids start. The next two panels only required rivets on the cross members. One side of the rear most panels and a few inches behind the skid require rivets. Same process as all of the other panels for securing with rivets. I used the kit supplied rivets to match the raw aluminum panels.
Engine Bay Cooling Fan
The engine bay gets extremely hot because it includes the full exhaust system and is not indirect airflow like a front engine automobile. To help push some of the heat out I add this 10" fan to the access panel in the tunnel. This is one of three fans I plan to add. I plan to add one behind each side intake. Right now the plan is to have them come on with the radiator fans and to also have a switch to turn them on on demand. This fan idea was given to me by KBentzel.
